If I had known the true cost of water service in Ranger, I would’ve never moved here. I'm being charged at least $115 a month just to have water service—and that's just the base rate. Realistically, my water bill is going to be around $150 a month. On top of that, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) ranks Ranger’s water quality as some of the worst, with 22 contaminants detected. As a first-time homebuyer, I was genuinely excited about the simple things—giving my daughter baths, washing clothes at home, and not needing to run to the car wash every week. But instead, I’m stuck continuing to use the laundromat, and now installing a dishwasher is completely off the table. It’s honestly heartbreaking. What’s worse is knowing the city is reportedly in debt to Eastland, and the utility department—which our water payments fund—is where that money is coming from. It just feels like greed, especially when you consider the average income in Ranger. Charging $150 a month for contaminated water? That’s ridiculous. I just moved in, and I’m already ready to move out.

Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 I understand that due to COVID-19 their offices are closed, I get that. But why don't they answer their phones or call back when you do leave a message? They are a government agency and are required to be connected to the people they serve. Their phone message doesn't explain why their closed simply "you've reached the city of ranger please leave a name and number and we will call". Unprofessional and yes the water is very bad, smells like Lake Leon and fish.

A $200.00 water deposit is a little steep especially for a country town. The young lady there was very friendly and helpful though.

Phillips needs to control their drivers. I was following behind a Swift truck when a Phillips truck began tailgating me and flashing its bright lights. Then it began weaving in and out of lanes, doing it to other drivers and truckers. Their service might be good but their driving blows! They will eventually hurt someone with their driving standards.

Phillips went above and beyond to help us fill our pool! The driver was such friendly guy! High recommend them!

Would highly recommend this company, they were booked up for the day, but made a extra trip later in the evening to get the load to us. Great service, great communication, would highly recommend them and the price was very good!
