If it isn’t in the bag, they don’t pick it up. A portion of a tire was left in our yard (side of the highway). They took it out of the can, took the bags and returned the tire to the can. It wasn’t a car tire, more like an oversized bike tire. We are changing service after 2 years and several of these occurrences.

Our water is shut off for hours at a time at least once a month and without any warning. There have been a few times where we lost water for 7-8 hours per day for several days in a row just in the past 2 years. Their billing practices are also unkind and the payment options are limited. Their website suggests "to avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill" but they send you the bill only 3 or 4 calendar days before it's due. I end up paying the late fee often because my due date will fall on the weekend and they don't give any grace if you drop a payment in their box on a Friday after hours. The nerve.

Always having problems! For the last several months we have had either NO water or VERY LOW water pressure. No one from the water department bothers to notify customers. I’ve lived quite a few places in and around lufkin and Central’s water department is BY FAR the WORST!!!

No one at Central water ever notifys to say that they apologize that we have no water or tell us that they are working to fix the problem. There is no number where you can reach someone to inform me them

Feb 13, 2020, 10:21hrs, 18 wheeler, Hwy 259 S, Henderson TX. Aggressive driver was speeding southbound out of town in 55 MPH zone in front of Wiley Elementary School and proceeded to speed up beyond the 70 MPH limit after leaving the city limits, continuing to drive in the inside lane until I lost sight of truck. Dangerous, unprofessional driver.

Professional service, my schedule for service was disrupted due to an emergency near our home. When I called in the office the young lady was very courteous and accommodating on the time and day to reschedule. Kyle came out today on time and he was very polite and took the time to answer my questions I had about our septic system. Got everything pumped out and cleaned up at a very affordable price. We will be a repeat customer when the time comes to clean out our tanks again.

Yeah I had a one budget system come out to pump my tanks and when we got them uncovered and saw what was going on call. Did what he could do and didn't even want to charge me? Gave me the number of someone that could help with what I needed to be done with my septic system but I highly recommend. I will always highly recommend a one bugect system. This is a post for anyone considering moving to Overton...DO NOT. It's a corruptly mismanaged town. Constant water issues where they're in violation of checking the water supply or the ancient pipes burst so the town is without water for days. There is no HOA, but that doesn't stop the City Council from passing ordinances like $500 fines which the popo love enforcing. Meanwhile, their front street is blown out with trees growing out of a bombed out storefront and it's been like that for the 2 yrs I've lived here. There are no animal control services so stray dogs are all over the place; I've seen cops just sit in their cruisers watching starving dogs roam the streets & nothing is done about the aggressive dogs that harass kids walking back from school. It's such an awful town that they've turned off commenting on the police dept page, that should tell you everything you need to know. Keep the Overton window shut and look at other places like Arp or Henderson which seem to actually care about their citizens!

My husband was just yelled at in person when he stopped in at the office to ask when our water would be restored the women working the counter lost her cool without provocation she told him "the housing market is really good right now you can sell your house and leave overton!" Being verbally assaulted for inquiring about the lack of service being provided is not only childish but unprofessional uncalled for and unacceptable. We've been two days without water we have two young children as many others are in the same situation. this type of behavior does nothing but make the situation worse.

The city help is horrible here. We have had issues constantly with the plumbing at our house. We had a plumber come and install new clean outs and measure our line to the road because our toilets and bath tubs keep backing up with septic. After installing the new clean out and running a line we found out the issue is not on our side but instead a large clog on the city’s side. We called to have city plumbers come and help out because our plumber said if he turns the water on and we try to use anything it will back up and run out on to the ground and out of the clean out. This is not okay because we have a 2 year old at home who uses the restroom when she has to. We called the city and asked for them to send someone out to meet with our plumber and also pump the line. We told them we had a 2 year old and needed help today if possible. The city manager Shane found this amusing apparently the idea of us not having the ability to use the restroom or our child use the restroom without the water overflowing. He said they would see us tomorrow and would not come out today and that is better the water will overflow outside instead of inside now and left it at that. I hope he does not have children because he does not show any compassion towards Overton citizens nor their children.
