Great communication with Luke! We were able to come up with a plan in advance and quickly get it done once we knew when my solar panels were removed. After the April 2022 (year has been corrected from original post) hailstorm in Salado, we entered into a contract for residential roof replacement with Knowater Roofing. Knowater provided an estimate of $25,500, but wanted a $15,000 down payment before materials were even delivered onsite. Owner assured us that it was not uncommon for roofing companies to request a 50% down payment. He was asking for a 60% down payment! After seeing that the Texas Department of Insurance website cautions consumers to be wary if a contractor asks for a large or full down payment, we should have run from this company then. But foolishly, I liked the idea of using a local, veteran-owned company. I told owner Luke that I would only pay $4,000 down payment, which he agreed to. Company started removing the old roof on July 1st, 2022 (year has been corrected from original post). I noticed when I got home from work that afternoon the roofers were installing the new synthetic underlayment over the original underlayment. I inquired about this method because I work in the construction industry and hadn't seen that done before. I was told by an employee that this was the way it was done now. This concerned me because how could they possibly inspect the roof condition without removing the existing felt, but I didn't want to slow the installation process of my new roof, especially with the threat of rain. The installation instructions for Owens Corning ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment state that it "should be applied to a properly prepared dry deck..." I contacted Owens Corning and was told that any incorrect installation would void my warranty. When Luke originally inspected our roof, he commented that flashing was not done correctly by the builder and that he would "fix that." When roofers completed the job on July 5th, Knowater Roofing representative called to advise they were sending someone over that evening to pick up the remaining payment for the job. Seemed very unprofessional to do that without the company owner or representative coming onsite to do a walk-around inspection of job completion. Had they done that, they would have known that I was not pleased with the flashing they installed and that job was not completed. They either failed to install flashing, or where they did, it was shoddy work (see attached photo). Luke shows up and I explain I am not going to pay him in full until all work was completed. Even after I showed him the poorly-installed flashing, he was argumentative with me and made a point to loudly insult me while he was talking on the phone with someone else. Very unprofessional! Flashing was corrected the following day and we then realized that shingles had been installed over our dryer vent. Thank goodness we noticed; this error could have caused a devastating fire. Knowater was apologetic for this mistake and corrected the problem the following day. While I am pleased with the product and how the shingles look on my house, my advice to any prospective customer is to put your expectations in writing when you sign a contract with this company. Make a note of all vents so they don't erroneously get covered up. Also, after the installation, I realized there was damage to my gutters and a window screen. When company provided the original estimate, I was told I would be refunded $1,500 to help offset my deductible...no surprise, that didn't happen, company acted like that conversation never occurred.

Why would you post a sign stating "No Fireworks" and then allow fireworks until 1am? city constantly contradicts itself. Fireworks past a certain time VIOLATE your noise ordinance. Construction past 8pm VIOLATES your construction ordinance. Fences on corner lots above 4ft in the front Violates your ordinance. Welcome to the town of contradiction, please check your common sense and ordinances at the door.

It’s crazy that they can’t send me my water bill even if I ask for it again, but they can send me a late fee notice. I CANT PAY MY BILL IF I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I NEED TO PAY!!

ACI was awesome! They showed up on time, explained everything they were going to do before they did it. And they explained why they were going to do it! I am so happy that I went with ACI!

ACI has provided pest control services for us for nearly 20 years. They are extremely knowledgeable, as in all of that time, we have NEVER experienced any pests, and we've ALWAYS been thrilled with their service. Most recently, we needed a significant termite treatment done before workers started forming for a slab. Greg had been out a few months before to survey and quote the work, but I wasn't able to give them much notice. Greg and Derrick juggled schedules and were able to do this work the next day, a tremendous testament to the customer focus that Greg and his team have. You will not regret calling ACI!

195 feet of steel, 82 piers and nearly 4,500 square feet of concrete! That’s what it took to build our showstopper dock and KT was more than up to the task. Starting from the design phase to the demo and then on to the build out stage, KT was professional, efficient, competent and fun to work with. This was a massive undertaking and we thank the entire KT Team and all the different crews that worked on our dock but, we have to call out Mitch Lawdermilk in particular. From our initial meeting to the very last detail finishing up our dock, Mitch was fantastic! He gave us ideas on how to make the dock better, was flexible with changes and was just as invested as we were in making the dock outstanding. Plus he’s just an all around great guy and fun to work with. We wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend KT Waterfront for any of your dock needs.

I am extremely satisfied with KT Waterfront Construction and the work they performed in demolishing our existing boathouse and construction of the new one. Mitch Lawdermilk was knowledgeable, professional and always accessible throughout the entire project. Despite a few unforeseen setbacks, KT stayed on schedule and managed to over deliver. The finished product turned out better than I envisioned and I would therefore wholeheartedly recommend KT Waterfront Construction to anyone considering any waterfront construction project.

Mitch and the entire team at KT waterfront did an excellent job with our costume dock and casita. They are extremely thorough and detail oriented and communicated in detail the process and progress of construction. Highly recommend them for all your lake dock needs.

I have been very happy with Blue Water Nursery and irrigation! I had a new lift pump installed less than a year ago. During the latest freeze it cracked. Went to Blue water assuming I would need to purchase another, but instead, they came and replaced the casing and got the sprinkler system up and running. Thanks for the great customer service!!!

Blue Water has a nice selection of high-quality trees at their nursery here in Kingsland. The very sweet lady Tammy is out there every day taking good care of the trees and being very helpful to customers. I purchased a Red Oak, and Crepe Myrtle for my yard, along with delivery, installation, compost and irrigation modifications. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. I recommend Blue Water for your planting and irrigation needs!

I normally never post a review but I was compelled to post this one because Blue Water did an outstanding job. I called for a repair to a non-working station (2) and scheduled an appointment. The next day, Austin called to ask if he could come earlier than scheduled, of course that was great (doesn't always work for some people but in this case an early arrival was welcomed). Austin found my problem immediately; it was a loose wire. Austin could have left but instead offered to check out my entire system. Austin and Jason found bubbling water at three sprinkler heads which of course means a broke line. He repaired one and capped two that we didn't need. He then checked all heads, cleaned and or replaced filters and changed caps where necessary to redirect water where needed. I requested he dig and cap three additional heads in a specific area. Austin suggested that I just shut them off in the event that I might need them in the future. I thought that was an excellent suggestion. He could have easily worked longer and billed more. He was more concerened that I might change my mind and need those heads at a later date (I think he might be right). I'm glad I didn't cap them underground. This system was here when this place was purchased and needless to say has never worked better. A BIG thank you to Blue Water and to AUSTIN. I was extremely impressed with this young Mans' work ethics and knowledge. I highly recommend Blue Water Nursery and Irrigation.

UPDATE: Josh (Supervisor) did email me back assuring me I would get a response to my billing questions as well as addressing staff on poor customer service). Thank you Josh. Kingsland Water employee Tabitha - the Billing Administrator has to have the worst customer service I have experienced and that is saying something. After closing on our property and terminating service I asked to pay my final bill which was posted but seemed incorrect. I asked for an explanation on the reading as a two week period was as much as a one month period for a house we didn't live in full time. I was told the reading is what it is and that it would stand. I asked to speak to someone that could explain that to me (THE CUSTOMER) and she advised she wouldn't argue with me about it and hung up. Let's see if her supervisor and the general manager of Kingsland Water has the decency to contact me about this issue.

From my experience an ethical company doing the right thing. Appreciate the hard work and quality output of Kingsland Water Supply and its workers.

First of all, it is TCEQ regulation that a water company CANNOT terminate service during a freeze or weather emergency. But this company does not adhere to law or regulation. Sold my house and they turned the water off 2 weeks early during the freeze. That was a huge help. Secondly, KWSC wants $2000 for a "deposit" (their words, not mine) That they do not return when you discontinue service. Collect and purify rainwater. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM OF A UTILITY
