What a great business in a small town! I moved from Abilene over to the town of Merkel, Texas. I interacted mainly with Molly, who helped and guided me through the entire process from setting-up an account to receiving my deposit back after another move. I had no contacts in Merkel prior to my move and Molly volunteered recommendations for other amenities, restaurants, and entertainment. There was never any interruption in service and someone was always available and glad to help with any questions.

1. I can never get a bill on time. 2. My bills were around $85 then the meter was changed out and it doubled for that reading and then went back to around $85. Sun Water didn't see anything wrong with it. 3. They don't care.

Most expensive water in the nation expressly for “brown/tan” looking water. Lots of citizens has complained not only about the color but the cost and claims of usage. ( for a example the city claims the household used 4 thousand gallons even though there’s only 2 people living In said house. When someone calls in & complains the employee says tuff you got a water leak or it’s your pipes. I got brand new pipes from meter all the way through the house dry ground under the house it’s not my pipes. City is ripping people off. They claim they are making a million dollars profit and yet our bill is outrageously high

We have had to call the water department multiple times for issues with our rent houses. They have been nothing but helpful and kind. They are quick to answer our questions and get the issue resolved

I have several rental properties that I manage in Merkel. The ladies at the water department are always very helpful and accommodating.

Excellent workmanship and upstanding work ethic. They had me up and running in a very timely fashion. I would definitely recommend Badger Septic and Dirt to anyone looking for professional quality septic repairs or replacements.

Badger came out inspected our old system that wasn’t working correctly and plugging up every other day. They had an engineer ask questions, measured the property then gave us an estimate. Gave them the go and they came out and replaced our old system in less than a day. I would highly recommend them, they were very professional and did a great job. Thank you.

Great experience. Very honest. I had a guy push a plastic tank because it was cheap. The people at Badger advised against it and explained why. After just a few minutes of extra research I found that he was absolutely right. I would have wasted thousands.

I stopped here to stretch my legs on my way back to DFW. Not far off I-20. I hiked on the trails and they are pretty cool. There is a loop through a bunch of cactus which line a lot of the trail. Then there is an out and back trail along the edge of the water. Not the most scenic place with power infrastructure nearby but as far the trails go, I'd recommend a short stop.

A very quaint park. Not much really to do here other than relax and take in the outdoors. Not very many or long hiking trails but still worth the walk through the park. I have camped here two other times and it is very quiet so if you like solitude it's great. The park staff is very friendly and willing to help, I do want to thank them for finding one of my bags that had blown away while I was gone.

Nice park with 2 hiking trails. The trails were relatively easy with some rock scrambles. The showers were hot and very outdated. Very tiny showers. No handicap shower and the ones available couldn’t put a wheelchair in it. If you have mobility issues these showers are not for you.
