Beware of this city—it’s beyond crooked. My husband received a letter claiming he owes $10 for a ticket from over 10 years ago, despite having paid the balance in full back then. The city is now threatening to take him to court over this small amount for something that was resolved a decade ago. When I called to address the issue, they had the nerve to ask me specific details about something that happened 10 years ago. I suggested it could be a system error, but they refused to entertain the idea and kept pressuring me to pay the $10 instead. Catherine Combs, in particular, was incredibly rude and condescending. She had me on speakerphone during the entire call, claiming I was yelling when, in reality, she was belittling me from the start. She asked demeaning questions and dismissed everything I said. When I asked for city council contact information, she refused, saying no one had an office, which only made it seem like she was hiding something. Her behavior was unprofessional and degrading throughout the call. This city’s behavior is unacceptable. Their office staff, especially Catherine Combs, is unprofessional and disrespectful. Think twice before dealing with this place—it’s clear they don’t value fairness or integrity.

Crazy speed trap cost me 850$... Construction zone at night no one working still got a speeding in construction zone ticket and they wouldnt lower it... Crooked place.

Tore up my yard in two different places almost a year ago and never fixed it. I was told it would be fixed the next week when it dried out. Never happened. I've called twice trying to get them to smooth it out with no evidence of fixing the craters left in my yard. I'm battling cancer and cannot fix it myself. I was told they drove by and it looked fine. Well, they are not trying to get over it with a lawnmower. It looks fine because the grass has grown over it. They sure want their payments on time.

Everyone who works here are incredibly sweet, friendly, and professional, but with a small town closeness and kindness attached to it. I've been living here for a year and a half now as a renter (hope to eventually buy out here), and despite the post office constantly losing our water bill, they always answer the phones to let me know what my bill is, and are super nice to deal with when I come in to pay. (UPDATE 5/08/18: Going on 3 years as a tenant in town, and still my review stands to the valued customer service I've continued to receive. More importantly, they have made an upgrade that now allows customers to pay their bills online via credit card. I am happy for this change, despite that it may deprive me of the wonderful conversational interchanges I have shared with the staff.)

It was time to check the septic, open the lid and knew I needed my septic cleaned out asap. They answered and supplied the exact service needed and did it quick! Fast, easy to work with, and reliable service. I will be calling again when I need my septic cleaned out.
