Beautiful place to call home! They are definitely updating the property and it looks great! Our home was moved to our land on Tuesday June 10th. We met the POA president and she was kind friendly and helpful. Mark was a pleasure to meet but the POA treasurer was a different story. I have NEVER been met with so much hostility. She came screaming at my husband!! It wasn't only her volume it was her body language demanding demeanor ect. She got upset my husband respectfully asked her not to talk to him that way and stormed off and left. Leaving her passenger behind in the process. Anyone given authority by the POA should conduct themselves in a manner that doesn't reflect poorly upon the association. After this interaction we contacted our family attorney and together we decided to send a No Traspass document due to the fact the POA governing documents allow board directors to enter your property. Our property was purchased in 2017 and recently after having a family of my own I decided the country life would be better for my children as one is special needs. We had our home moved here to get away from all the negativity! Unfortunately a majority of the interactions with the current residents have been negative. One lady drove by in a white SUV claiming to be from the fire Marshal's office! No badge no exempt license plate ect. This woman was RUDE as HELL!!!! Even driving away so aggressively she kicked up rocks and dust as she drove away. Nothing was being burned just moved around out of the path of our home. If she would have taken the time out of her day to listen to what I had to say she would have understood that instead of claiming we were going to get a $500 fine. We had our handyman David from dallas on a bobcat cleaning the remainder of the debris due to the fact the past 3 individuals I paid thousands of dollars to didn't complete the work. If y'all want decent people living here y'all need to treat them a little better! My husband and I are decent people who care about our community! We are not trashy people which we were made to feel.

it's a great community. Great location, & they are so amazing to my Uncle Milton & cousin Kelly. I lived here for over a year & truly hated to leave. I met the love of my life 2 houses over but we call Tyler home now. The POA & involved homeowners of Sunrise are fair, knowledgeable, & just want to keep the community beautiful, clean, & crime/drug free.

Quiet, relaxing place with stunning lakefront views (Lake Palestine). Cute house, sleeps six; in the actual house, there's one bedroom and bathroom downstairs and one bedroom and bath upstairs. (The upstairs bedroom has a little balcony with a table and 2 outdoor chairs.)Then there's a little metal bldg, sort of behind & next to the house - only a few steps away, that has another bedroom and bath. There's a washer and dryer there, too. We loved that each couple had their own bathroom, but all of us spent most of the time on the back "porch," or in the yard under tall pine trees, just admiring the view! For me, the very best thing was the fenced-in back yard, as this allowed us to take our dog with us on this trip!! I wish more properties would offer this particular amenity. In fact, this is the only property we've rented that had a fenced yard...we've rented quite a few VRBO and AirB&B places, and Sunrise Shores is the first with it. It was the deciding factor in choosing a place! The ONLY negative thing was that on our final afternoon, late in the day, a guy came into the back on a big riding lawnmower and proceeded to mow, from the back of the fence down to the dock. It was loud, but okay, no big deal. But then, he mowed INSIDE the fenced area. Now, all of us were sitting out there, just visiting and watching the 2 dogs, so I was rather surprised by his mowing at all. And when he asked if he could mow in the fenced area, I was REALLY taken aback. However, he DID ask, and one of our party (after a few beers), said, "Yeah, no problem, and have a beer with us when you finish." So, there you have it. Call me mean, but I would have nicely told him it was our last night, we were enjoying the peaceful (quiet) atmosphere, and could you come back tomorrow after we'd gone. Anyway, it's a lovely place, no harm done, and I would absolutely recommend it! Oops! I thought I was reviewing a VRBO property we rented recently. It appears this particular Sunrise Shores ir about the whole, big neighborhood!

Lack of empathy for their residents/customers . Antequated customer service policies it's not the 60's. Don't move out here you will be very frustrated disappointed if you ever haver dealings with the water company or their landfill. Getting a straight answer is next to impossible customer service nonexistent

If I could give less than the 1 star, I would! I have lived in Kaufman, TX for over 7 years and have never had a pleasant experiance when dealing with this place. I have NEVER had my water disconnected due to non-payment because I ALWAYS pay my bills on time! I had been out of town for an emergency family matter and forgot to pay my bill prior to leaving town. (my fault, I know) BUT as I stated before and they even confirmed, I ALWAYS pay my bills on time. So when I called to find out why I was being charged $280.00 to reconnect my water when my bill was only $114.00... I was informed that I was being charged ANOTHER $120.00 deposit as well as late fee on top of my bill. The late fee, I understand, but the 2nd $120.00 deposit because I was disconnected ONE time in the whole 7 years I have done business with them?... A little overzealous if you ask me. This establishment is the most money hungry place I have ever dealt with. They know that you have NO OTHER OPTIONS and NO CHOICE but to pay their rediculous charges so therefore they get away with screwing people over. Also, the ladies that answer the phones, I can only imagine are supposed to be "customer service" reps, need to reevaluate their job titles and move around to something where they DONT interact with the public! I CAN NOT WAIT TO MOVE OUT OF KAUFMAN!!!!!
